Determination of standing times in open visitor parking spaces
Supermarkets and shopping centers provide their customers with free parking spaces for the duration of their shopping trip. Often, these are blocked by residents and the general public. With classic license plate recognition, the vehicles are recorded at the entrances and exits and the parking duration is determined. If the permitted parking time is exceeded, a fine can be imposed. This application is controversial in terms of data protection.
